North of the Border Buckaroos

Green broke horses, isolated line camps and winters at 20 below, all part of the job for a BC Canadian Cowboy.

The Northern Buckaroos have inherited many traditions from the California  Vaquero and the Texas Cowpuncher, but over time they have blended them with their own style. It is on the wild and wooly side, and many a hand has climbed on his pony on a chilly morning, and had to ride him to work, bucking every inch of the way. Bears, wolves and cougars are your next door neighbors, while isolated at one of many line camps.  All a part of the job for the BC Canadian Cowboy.
